Shantawene

Daniso Horsa produces this coffee alongside a network of smallholder farmers in the Damo area of Shantawene, located in Ethiopia’s Sidama region. Surrounded by lush, high-elevation hills, the area is known for producing coffees with vibrant fruit character and expressive aromatics. Ripe cherries are carefully handpicked and dried naturally on raised beds, allowing the coffee’s inherent sweetness and fruit character to develop while maintaining clarity in the cup. This lot is exceptionally sweet and fruit-forward, with notes of yellow peach and nectarine alongside purple florals and ripe berries. A soft, juicy acidity and lingering sweetness make for an easy and remarkably expressive cup.
