Haru Lab Coffee (“Haru”) is a small roastery in Elk Grove, California. We collect the minimum information needed to roast, sell, and ship coffee. Nothing here is sold or shared for advertising. This page describes exactly what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Orders: your email, name, shipping address, and what you bought. Payment card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Accounts (optional): email and name, managed by our sign-in provider, Clerk. Guest checkout is always available.
• Newsletter (optional): your email, only if you subscribe. Every send includes a one-click unsubscribe.
• Wholesale applications: the business details you submit on the wholesale form.

Cookies

We set only first-party, functional cookies: your cart, your ship-or-pickup preference, and your sign-in session (Clerk). Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers, so there's no consent banner to click through.

Who processes data for us

A short list of service providers, each receiving only what their job requires: Stripe (payments and sales tax), Clerk (sign-in), Resend (transactional and newsletter email), Vercel and Neon (hosting and database), and PirateShip with USPS/UPS (shipping labels; they receive your name and address to deliver your order). We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Email choices

Marketing email goes only to newsletter subscribers, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Order confirmations and shipping notices are transactional, so you'll receive those for any order you place.

Your data, your call

Email contact@harulab.coffee to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We keep order records as long as tax and accounting rules require; everything else we delete on request.

Changes
